McGill University, Faculty of Law

We regret to inform you that the ILA-Canada Biennial Conference will be postponed to a later date. Several of our accepted panelists are unfortunately not able to travel due to the restrictions put into place in order to contain the COVID 19 outbreak.

The International Law Association (Canada) will be holding its biennial conference on March 20th, 2020 at McGill University, Faculty of Law. ILA-Canada and our partners for this event, the Fortier Chair in International Arbitration & International Commercial Law and the Private Justice and the Rule of Law Centre welcome individual or panel proposals on the topic of Climate Change Impacts on International Trade and Investment.

We welcome proposals from academics, private practitioners, students and others who have a particular interest in this topic. We encourage both pragmatic approaches to the issues surrounding Climate Change Impacts on International Trade and Investment as well as innovative models that may reveal linkages that are not easily discerned.

Please submit your proposal to secretariat@ila-canada.ca in word format by February 21, 2020. Decisions on the proposals will be made by February 28, 2020. Please keep proposals to 500 words or less and include a bio of the speaker(s).
