Description: Climate change presents unique challenges to the international law and governance system because it affects so many areas in diverse ways. This panel brings together experts from a range of ILA committees (on health, Indigenous peoples’ rights, natural resources, use of force, alternative dispute settlement, cities, rule of law and investment, and monetary law) to explain how their respective committees are dealing with these complex cross-cutting climate change issues. The panelists will discuss what their areas of expertise add to understanding climate change law and governance and make observations regarding any outstanding questions.
